Mission

The Great Commandment

"You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39

The Great Commission

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to obey all that I commanded you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

He gave us His Mission in Luke 4:18-19 and we make it ours as well:

1. Preach Good News to the poor

2. Heal the broken hearted

3. Release those in bondage

4. Recovery of sight to the blind

5. Set free the oppressed

6. Proclaim the Lord's Favor

We know we can't accomplish this on our own, so we hold firmly to the following:

The Holy Spirit is our Power source. The supernatural power of God can accomplish more than the combined fleshly efforts of sincere Christians.

Relationships are essential. Relationship to God is our chief goal! Relationships with one another provide the intimacy and accountability which the Holy Spirit uses to mold us.

Every Believer has a gift in the Body of Christ and it is vital that everyone be in their place. Some people are more visible, but everyone is essential.

The Pastor is called to equip the saints to do the work of ministry. He is to devote himself to the primary responsibility of the Word of God and to Prayer.
